The Modern Silhouette

I've been awfully quiet around here because I've been working on some new stuff. I took a few friends personal photo's and made them into silhouettes and then cut them out of sterling silver. I think they look pretty spectacular, I'm really pleased with how they've turned out. The idea will be for you to send me your favorite photo and I can make the most personal pendant - such a keepsake! It's actually you & your loved ones silhouetted on your pendant. Don't think I can only do people, if you'd rather your favorite pet, I can do that too!  Let me introduce you to my version of The Modern Silhouette!

What I'm listening to right now...

I thought I'd start a feature post about music.  Music is a huge part of our (me & my family) lives, so why not share the love? Right now I'm listening to a band called Mandolin Orange.  I know, right? The name alone...  They are a folk/bluegrassy band and I can't get enough of them.  Have a listen yourself...

Aren't they adorable? I want them to be my best friends.   It was really hard to just pick one song, so make sure to check out their website and give a listen to all of their music.  Their harmony gives me goose bumps. I just love them.

Mushroom Madness

Over the weekend, my husband wasn't as busy as he normally is, and I was able to get in some kid-free time while he hung out with C-note. So what did I do? I went shopping of course! I hit up a few thrift stores and scored a sweet tea pot with mushrooms on the side.  It's $1.50 worth of awesomeness.

I also found a cute little oval frame.  I'm not sure if I'll paint it white or black or even where I'll put it yet, but I liked it all the same and snatched it up for 50 cents.

Beautiful Day for a Hike!

Today was a stunning day and I have been so anxious to get out on the trails and test out our new baby carrier.  

I recently bought the Happy Trails child carrier from Mountain Equipment Co-op .  It proved to be perfect for Cash as he was completely comfortable in his heavy winter jacket and pants, he had lots of room and loved being so high up.  He actually almost fell asleep near the end. For me, it was pretty comfortable.  I was skeptical because I love my Beco Carrier so much for it's comfort (and lets not kid ourselves, it's super cute!) but, MEC has done a swell job of making it comfortable - even for short people like me.

It's time to get back at it...

..I know, I've been neglecting this bad boy, I went to all the trouble of switching my blog from Rock ON to this new one and I've totally neglected it.  Well - it's about time to get back down to work, maternity leave is over, so back to the grind.
